How to report copyright infringement on Got Stampd?, and how to respond if your content was removed. We recommend a legal review before launch, and registering a DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office.

Got Stampd? respects intellectual property and expects the same from our users. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and terminate repeat infringers.

Report infringing content (takedown notice)

If you own a copyright (or are authorised to act for the owner) and believe content on Got Stampd? infringes it, email a written notice to our designated agent at copyright@gotstampd.com including all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed.
  3. Identification of the infringing material and enough detail for us to locate it (e.g. a link or the username and entry).
  4. Your name, address, phone number, and email.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

Once we receive a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the material and make a good-faith effort to notify the person who posted it.

Respond to a takedown (counter-notice)

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to copyright@gotstampd.com including:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., the district where we are located), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they've filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

We terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion.
